Forum on Social Equity and Community 2023

Penn President Liz Magill moderated the third annual Forum on Social Equity and Community featuring a conversation on Voting Rights in America.  President Magill and the panelists were introduced by SEC’s senior Fellow Alek Davis.  The panelists were: Ivan Espinoza-Madrigal, JD, C’01, Executive Director, Lawyers for Civil Rights; Lisa Fairfax, JD, Presidential Professor and Co-Director of the Institute for Law and Economics, Penn Carey Law; Michael Jones-Correa, Ph.D., Department Chair and President’s Distinguished Professor of Political Science, Penn Political Science; and The Rev. Liz Theoharis, Ph.D., C’98, Co-Chair, The Poor People’s Campaign, A National Call for Moral Revival, Director, Union Theological Seminary Kairos Center for Religions, Rights, and Social Justice.  The event was hosted by the Penn Office of Social Equity and Community.
