Penn President Liz Magill was greatly honored to join Mindy, C’92, and Jon Gray, C’92, W’92, for a momentous occasion: the creation of the Basser Cancer Interception Institute at Penn Medicine.  Launched with a $55 million gift from the Grays, this new institute is built around a revolutionary approach to cancer prevention: interception.  Dr. Susan Domchek will rally Penn Medicine’s renowned scientists and researchers to focus on developing bold new methods that have the potential to stop cancer before it takes hold.

“I am enormously grateful to Mindy and Jon for their desire to accelerate these lifesaving discoveries—and for their conviction that Penn is the place to do it,” said Magill.
